Overview of Sales Development at the Aleo Foundation

As a sales development representative, you will report to a business development team manager, helping them source new partners and maintain existing relationships.

The candidate will be responsible for generating new leads for the Aleo network and provide hands-on support for existing ecosystem contributors, namely grantees.

We are actively seeking individuals to help us expand our partner base across DeFi, Gaming, Identity, Machine Learning, Voting/Governance, and Institutional/Infrastructure use cases.

This role is fully remote, but the Aleo Foundation has an office in New York City for those who would like to work in person with other team members.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Generating and qualifying new leads.

  • Developing and maintaining partner relationships.

  • Promote products and services funded by the Aleo Foundation.

  • Deliver quality support for contributors within our ecosystem to ensure long-term satisfaction.

  • Support operational functions within the business development team.

  • Review applications and RFPs submitted to the Aleo Grants Program.

  • Contribute to our business development pipeline and CRM processes.

  • Stay informed of industry trends in crypto, web3, zero-knowledge, competitor activities, and market developments.

  • Attend conferences, trade shows, and industry events to represent Aleo and network with potential builders and partners.

What We Are Looking For In You:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in sales development or similar client-facing role.

  • Individuals who are self-starters, have an entrepreneurial mindset and hungry to learn.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent customer service abilities.

  • Ability to comprehend technical concepts to work closely with partners/builders.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.

  • Strong interest in privacy-centric solutions and zero-knowledge.

  • Strong organizational skills and capability to handle communications across multiple channels.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, marketing, legal, and other business development professionals.

  • Familiarity with Airtable, Slack, GSuite, Notion.

  • Ability to travel ~25%.

Nice to Haves:

  • Brings existing Web3 and crypto relationships/connections.

  • Fundamental understanding of blockchain and

  • Basic level background knowledge in general computer science and/or cryptography.

  • Understanding or experience of Growth operations at blockchain protocols.

  • Familiarity with the existing privacy/zero-knowledge landscape.

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary $60k - 100k plus a token package — determined through the interview process after a review of experience, knowledge, skills, as well as alignment with market data.
