Aleo is seeking a Senior Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Analyst to join our creative and collaborative team, supporting our ongoing and exciting growth. The Senior FP&A Analyst will play a critical role in supporting Aleo's financial planning and analysis efforts. This position will collaborate with the accounting department, other teams and senior management to provide valuable insights, perform financial modeling, and contribute to the development of financial forecasts and budgets. The Senior FP&A Analyst will report to the CFO and partner closely with the VP of Finance & Accounting and other key stakeholders in the business.

This role is fully remote, but Aleo has offices in New York City and San Francisco for those who are local to those areas and would like to work in the office with other team members.

What you’ll be doing

  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including variance analysis, financial performance evaluation, and scenario modeling to support strategic decision-making and business planning.

  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans. Monitor and report on budget-to-actual performance, providing actionable insights to management.

  • Evaluate potential investment opportunities, conducting thorough due diligence, and providing financial analysis to assess the viability and potential returns of projects or ventures.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive financial reports and dashboards to communicate key financial metrics, trends, and performance indicators to collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the development and execution of financial strategies aligned with Aleo's growth objectives.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and economic factors that may impact the company's financial performance.

  • Continuously improve and refine financial models to enhance accuracy and efficiency in financial planning and analysis.

  • Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as requested by management.

‍What we look for in you

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field.

  • 2 years of experience at a financial institution and 3 years of FP&A experience in high-growth tech.

  • Strong financial modeling skills and proficiency in financial analysis techniques.

  • Excellent knowledge of financial planning and analysis processes, budgeting, and forecasting.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with acute attention to detail.

  • Effective communication skills to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.

Nice to haves

  • Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Experience with financial planning tools or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.

  • CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) or similar professional certification.

  • Knowledge of blockchain technology.

  • Experience working with private, VC-funded technology startups through various stages of growth and scale.

  • SaaS company or Technology startup experience.

Salary & Benefits

  • $150,000-$200,000 plus an equity package — determined through the interview process after a review of experience, knowledge, skills, as well as alignment with market data.
